Successful Community Grant cause
The Vine Trust
Vine Trust is an international development charity that works with long-term Peruvian and Tanzanian partners as they strengthen health systems and implement construction projects in isolated and vulnerable communities in the Amazon and on Lake Victoria.
Not only do they support these existing programmes and projects, but they also work with them to create empowering learning opportunities and transformative experiences for volunteers.

Their grant application
When applying for an unrestricted Community Grant, The Vine Trust told us their medical ships visit areas that are largely inaccessible along the Amazonian river in Peru and Lake Victoria in Tanzania. The money will be used to buy prescription medication needed to treat patients who otherwise would have no access to medical care at all. They resource the ships with doctors, dentists, opticians, midwives and nurses.
What they spent their grant on
Jacqui Heasley from The Vine Trust was happy to share how they spent their £250 Community Grant.
“Thanks to a generous community grant from TheGivingMachine, Vine Trust was able to provide vital medical supplies to our volunteer medical ships serving communities along Lake Victoria in Tanzania. These supplies are helping our teams deliver essential healthcare to some of the most remote and vulnerable areas, improving lives and supporting local health services.”
Our Community Grants
We were delighted to provide The Vine Trust with a £250 unrestricted Community Grant. The difference this organisation is making to those most in need is amazing and we love being part of this impact.
Each quarter, we offer 8 x £250 Community Grants to UK-based good causes. If you are a good cause who would like to apply for one of these unrestricted grants, visit our Community Grants page for more information.
